If you are entering into an agreement on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation.
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Cookie Preferences, Acceptable Use Policy, and any applicable Service Level Agreement.

HostOrient operates as a subsidiary of Extent Technologies Limited and focuses primarily on retail hosting and related online services.
Services purchased directly through HostOrient, including shared web hosting, cPanel hosting, domains and other HostOrient-branded products, are governed by the applicable HostOrient Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Service Level Agreement.
Where Extent Technologies provides underlying infrastructure to HostOrient, this does not automatically make these Extent Technologies Terms the customer agreement for a HostOrient retail service.
4. Contract Structure
Your agreement with Extent Technologies may consist of one or more of the following:
- these Terms & Conditions;
- our Acceptable Use Policy;
- an applicable Service Level Agreement;
- a quotation;
- purchase order;
- order form;
- Statement of Work;
- Data Processing Agreement;
- facility or colocation agreement;
- project agreement; or
- other written service-specific agreement.
Where a service-specific agreement expressly conflicts with these general Terms, the service-specific agreement will take priority for that particular matter.
5. Quotations and Orders
A quotation does not constitute an obligation to provide a product or service until accepted by Extent Technologies.
Unless otherwise stated, quotations remain valid only for the period specified in the quotation.
Prices for hardware, software licensing, connectivity, bandwidth, cloud resources and third-party services may change due to supplier pricing, foreign exchange rates, availability or other factors.
We may reject or cancel an order where:
- payment cannot be verified;
- required information is incomplete;
- fraud or abuse is suspected;
- the requested service creates unreasonable technical or security risk;
- a supplier cannot fulfil an order;
- the service would violate applicable law or regulation; or
- a material pricing or specification error has occurred.
If we cancel a prepaid order for reasons not caused by the customer, applicable prepaid amounts will be refunded in accordance with our Refund Policy.
6. Pricing and Taxes
Prices are stated in the currency shown on the applicable website, quotation, invoice or contract.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, prices may exclude:
- VAT or applicable taxes;
- customs or import duties;
- delivery charges;
- payment-processing fees;
- installation;
- remote-hands charges;
- cross-connect charges;
- software licensing;
- additional bandwidth or power usage; and
- other service-specific charges.
Customers are responsible for applicable taxes and regulatory charges except where Extent Technologies is legally required to collect them.
7. Payment
Invoices must be paid by their stated due date.
For prepaid services, provisioning may begin only after payment has been confirmed.
For recurring services, failure to pay an invoice may result in:
- reminders;
- restriction of service;
- suspension;
- disconnection;
- termination; or
- withholding of further work.
Applicable grace periods, if any, are determined by the service agreement.
Customers are responsible for maintaining accurate billing and contact information.
8. Data Center and Colocation Services
Extent Technologies operates data center infrastructure in Bangladesh.
Colocation customers may purchase resources including rack units, private racks, power allocation, network connectivity, IP resources, cross-connects and remote-hands services according to their applicable order.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that equipment installed in our facility:
- is legally owned or authorised for use;
- is technically safe;
- does not create a fire, electrical, cooling or security hazard;
- complies with allocated power limits;
- does not interfere with other customers;
- complies with facility procedures; and
- is used for lawful purposes.
Physical access to restricted facility areas may require prior authorisation, identity verification and compliance with facility security procedures.
Access may be recorded through CCTV, access logs and biometric access-control systems in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Extent Technologies may immediately disconnect equipment where reasonably necessary to prevent physical danger, electrical damage, network disruption, security incidents or material harm to the facility or other customers.
9. Data Center Specifications
Extent Technologies publishes information regarding its facility architecture, power systems, cooling, connectivity, physical security and other technical specifications.
Such information describes our infrastructure and engineering standards but does not replace a customer's specific contract or SLA.
Contractually guaranteed metrics, including:
- power availability;
- network availability;
- environmental conditions;
- latency;
- response times;
- bandwidth;
- service credits; and
- restoration commitments
apply only where expressly included in the customer's applicable Service Level Agreement or service agreement.
Website descriptions, diagrams, benchmarks and performance statements should not be interpreted as additional contractual guarantees unless expressly incorporated into an agreement.
10. Service Level Agreements
Certain infrastructure services may include a Service Level Agreement.
An SLA may define:
- service availability;
- power availability;
- network uptime;
- maintenance exclusions;
- measurement procedures;
- incident classifications;
- response targets; and
- service-credit entitlement.
Service credits are governed exclusively by the applicable SLA.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, service credits are account credits rather than cash compensation.
11. Scheduled and Emergency Maintenance
We may perform scheduled maintenance to maintain, upgrade or secure infrastructure.
Where reasonably possible, customers affected by material scheduled maintenance will be notified in advance.
Emergency maintenance may be performed without advance notice where necessary to:
- address a security vulnerability;
- prevent infrastructure failure;
- restore connectivity;
- protect customer data;
- prevent physical damage; or
- respond to circumstances requiring immediate action.
12. Bare-Metal Dedicated Servers
Bare-metal services provide physical computing resources allocated according to the applicable service specification.
The customer's agreement determines matters including:
- hardware configuration;
- CPU and memory;
- storage;
- network port;
- bandwidth;
- IP addresses;
- management level;
- backup services;
- operating system; and
- hardware replacement obligations.
Unless managed services are expressly included, customers are responsible for operating-system administration, application security, updates, passwords and application-level backups.
13. Cloud VPC and Virtual Machines
Cloud and virtual infrastructure may include virtual machines, virtual networks, virtual storage, snapshots and related resources.
Resource specifications and limits are determined by the applicable plan or contract.
Customers are responsible for their applications, operating systems, credentials and configuration unless a managed service has been purchased.
Snapshots and platform redundancy are not a substitute for an independent backup strategy unless the service expressly includes managed backup and restoration.
14. IP Addresses and Network Resources
IP addresses and other network resources allocated to customers remain under the administrative control of Extent Technologies or the relevant resource provider unless expressly transferred according to applicable registry procedures.
Allocation of an IP address does not transfer ownership.
Customers must not:
- falsify routing information;
- announce unauthorised prefixes;
- manipulate reverse DNS for unlawful purposes;
- conduct IP spoofing;
- use assigned resources for network abuse; or
- damage the reputation of allocated IP space.
Further restrictions are set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.
We may withdraw, renumber or replace an IP allocation where reasonably necessary for technical, abuse-prevention, regulatory or registry reasons.
Where practical, advance notice will be provided.
15. Dedicated Email Server Services
Dedicated email infrastructure may include isolated mail-server environments, dedicated IP addresses, mail transfer services, reputation configuration and email-authentication technologies.
Customers must comply with applicable anti-spam and electronic communication laws and our Acceptable Use Policy.
Customers must not use our infrastructure for:
- unsolicited bulk email;
- phishing;
- credential theft;
- malware distribution;
- purchased mailing lists without lawful permission;
- deceptive communication;
- email bombing; or
- activities likely to materially damage network or IP reputation.
Deliverability depends on multiple factors outside our control, including sender reputation, message content, recipient engagement, external blocklists and recipient mail providers.
Accordingly, inbox placement percentages are not guaranteed unless expressly specified in a written agreement.
16. Corporate Business Email
Corporate email solutions may include email hosting, mailbox migration, spam protection, malware filtering, synchronisation, administration and related services.
Customers are responsible for:
- authorised mailbox users;
- account-security policies;
- lawful use of email;
- mailbox retention requirements; and
- maintaining appropriate credentials.
Migration projects depend on access to the customer's existing provider and availability of compatible migration methods.
17. IP Phone and IPBX Services
IP phone and IPBX solutions may include PBX configuration, IVR, extensions, call routing, call recording, SIP integration and related communication services.
Telephony services may depend on external carriers and telecommunications operators.
Customers are responsible for ensuring lawful use of call recording and communication monitoring.
Where legally required, customers must notify callers, employees or other participants that calls are being recorded.
Extent Technologies does not guarantee the availability or quality of an independent telecommunications carrier.
18. Website Development and Engineering
Website projects are governed by the applicable proposal, Statement of Work or project agreement.
The agreement may define:
- project scope;
- functionality;
- design;
- technology;
- milestones;
- delivery schedule;
- revision limits;
- acceptance;
- hosting;
- maintenance; and
- payment schedule.
Work requested outside the agreed scope may require an additional quotation.
Project schedules depend on timely delivery of information, content, access credentials and approvals by the customer. Customer delays may result in corresponding project delays.
19. Custom Software, ERP and Enterprise Systems
Custom software services may include ERP, CRM, inventory, HRM, automation, APIs, integrations, databases and other business systems.
Requirements, architecture, deliverables, source-code rights, support and maintenance will be governed by the applicable project agreement.
Changes requested after approval of requirements may constitute a change request and may affect price and delivery schedule.
20. Intellectual Property for Development Services
Each party retains ownership of intellectual property it owned before the project.
Unless the applicable project agreement states otherwise:
- Extent Technologies retains ownership of reusable libraries, internal frameworks, development tools, infrastructure, templates, generic modules, processes and technical know-how;
- the customer receives rights to custom deliverables according to the applicable project agreement;
- third-party software remains governed by its own licence; and
- open-source software remains subject to its applicable open-source licence.
Transfer of ownership of custom deliverables may be conditional upon full payment.
21. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must use our services responsibly and lawfully.
Customers are responsible for:
- maintaining secure credentials;
- limiting account access;
- protecting administrative interfaces;
- installing appropriate updates where customer-managed;
- maintaining independent backups where appropriate;
- complying with software licences;
- obtaining required permissions for data processed through the service; and
- promptly notifying us of suspected compromise.
22. Acceptable Use
Our services must not be used for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or malicious activity.
The detailed rules governing prohibited activity are set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.
We may investigate abuse complaints and take proportionate action, including suspension or termination.
Serious abuse may be reported to competent authorities where required or permitted by law.
23. Security
Extent Technologies maintains technical, administrative and physical controls designed to protect infrastructure and information.
Security measures may include:
- restricted facility access;
- CCTV monitoring;
- access logging;
- biometric access controls;
- network monitoring;
- authentication systems;
- firewalls;
- system logging;
- access-control policies;
- backup systems; and
- other security measures appropriate to the service.
Our handling of personal data associated with these security measures is described in our Privacy Policy.
No network, software or security system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
24. Customer Data
Customers retain responsibility for data, applications and content they place on systems under their control.
Where Extent Technologies processes personal information solely on behalf of an enterprise customer, Extent Technologies may act as a data processor/service provider and the customer may act as the data controller/data fiduciary.
A separate Data Processing Agreement may apply. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.
25. Backups and Data Loss
Customers must maintain appropriate independent backups unless their contract expressly states that Extent Technologies is responsible for providing managed backups.
Backup availability does not guarantee successful restoration in every circumstance.
Customers should not rely on snapshots as their sole backup unless expressly designed and contracted as a backup service.
26. Confidentiality
Each party may receive confidential technical, commercial or operational information belonging to the other.
Each party agrees to use reasonable measures to protect confidential information and use it only for the purpose for which it was disclosed.
Confidentiality obligations do not apply to information that:
- is publicly available without breach;
- was already lawfully known;
- was independently developed;
- was lawfully received from another source; or
- must be disclosed under applicable law.
27. Third-Party Services
Our services may depend on independent suppliers, carriers, software vendors, hardware manufacturers, payment processors, registries, upstream networks or cloud providers.
Third-party products may be subject to separate licence terms.
Extent Technologies is not responsible for an independent third party's failure except to the extent responsibility cannot legally be excluded or where Extent Technologies has expressly assumed that responsibility.
28. Suspension
We may suspend a service where reasonably necessary because of:
- non-payment;
- security threats;
- abuse;
- unlawful activity;
- material breach of contract;
- excessive resource use outside agreed limits;
- network attacks;
- regulatory requirements; or
- an immediate risk to infrastructure or other customers.
Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.
Urgent security or safety situations may require immediate suspension.
Suspensions resulting from prohibited activity are also governed by our Acceptable Use Policy.
29. Termination and Cancellation
Cancellation procedures vary by service.
The applicable quotation, contract or service agreement may specify:
- minimum service period;
- notice period;
- renewal arrangements;
- equipment-removal procedures;
- outstanding fees; and
- data-removal timelines.
Cancellation does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund.
Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy and the applicable service agreement.
30. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Extent Technologies will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, opportunity or anticipated savings.
Where liability may legally be limited, Extent Technologies' aggregate liability relating to a particular service will not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the affected service during the period specified in the applicable contract.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by law.
31. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, customers agree to indemnify Extent Technologies against reasonable third-party claims, damages and costs resulting from:
- unlawful use of our services;
- customer-controlled content;
- infringement of third-party rights;
- misuse of network resources; or
- material breach of these Terms.
32. Force Majeure
Extent Technologies will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
These may include:
- natural disasters, fire, flood;
- war, civil disturbance;

- other comparable events.
33. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or agreed in writing, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Bangladesh.
34. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our services, business operations or legal obligations.
The current version will be published on our website with its effective date.
Material changes affecting an existing contracted service will be handled according to the applicable contract and law.
